The National Coordinator, Welcome2Nigeria Project (W2NP) Mr Isa Yusuf Sago has urged Nigerians to be steadfast in their commitment to the cause of the country as the nation celebrates her 63rd Independence anniversary.

Sago said this through a press statement released by the Project on Sunday, October 1, 2022, where he reminded Nigerians of how far the country has come and why every situation should challenge everyone to do more for the country.

He said that every opportunity in the country presents a new reflection on “where we should have been as a people.”

“It’s been a journey of thousands of experiences. Good or bad, they show the deep-rooted resilience and indivisible bond we share as a people, and of a common destiny, with an assured future.

“Better days are ahead, certainly. They will surely come. We can make them happen faster, if we all give our best to our beloved country and join hands in its working, no matter the circumstances.

“From the ashes of our difficulties and travails, we’ve always risen to conquer and rekindle a new spirit of hope and of greatness, whilst forging ahead. We have been through this many a time. That’s why we are an uncommon people.” he said.

He urge Nigerians never to lose hope and faith in the country and government, and that every good thing in life does not come easy.

According to him: “Hope should not be lost – from it, comes, not only the strength of survival but the enduring spirit of commitment, which brings forth greatness, peace and progress.

“As we celebrate Nigeria’s 63rd independence, we wish all Nigerians and friends of the country, the blessings of God and the gifts of a great nation.

“May our greetings and wishes meet you well! May they always remind you of Nigeria’s motherly love and the patriotic duties and commitment of fatherhood (which will always be required of you), ” he stated.

Whilst wishing Nigerians a happy wonderful and 63 eventful years, he said “Nigeria will always be our home” and that “it behoves on all of us to always wish our country well” and that there’s “never ever going to be any place on earth like Nigeria.”
