The Soco master squashes beef with former producer Northboi amidst collaboration in new album
Grammy Awards winner, Wizkid, has announced his forthcoming album ‘More Love, Less Ego’, which would feature Nigerian producer, Northboi.
Wizkid made the announcement on his Snapchat story, and followed up with an Instagram story captioned, “More Love, Less Ego! A Love letter from Lagos… soooooooooooon come!!”
In the Snapchat video, Wizkid is heard saying, “ladies and gentlemen, More Love, Less Ego the album on the way. I’m here with my brother for real. We are back baby! We are back baby! Northboy!”
From all indications, the two have settled the misunderstanding which made them part ways in 2019.
Northboi is the producer behind Wizkid’s international hit song, Soco, which was certified gold in 2020, after winning Song of the Year at the 2018 African Music Magazine Awards.
In 2019, Northboi produced and co-wrote Wizkid’s hit single Joro, and co-produced Beyonce’s Grammy-nominated song, Keys To The Kingdom.
Northboi and Wizkid’s beef peaked in 2019, resulting in Wizkid giving credit to Killertunez for the success of Soco, on Twitter, instead of Northboi.
