Nigeria’s Senate has shifted the date for the announcement of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list to Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
The postponement announced through a motion in the floor of the Senate by the majority leader, Senator Bamidele Opeyemi.
The announcement with occurred at the Senate plenary on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 came without any explanation as to why the date was shifted from the earlier scheduled date.
The motion was seconded by Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwon, the Senate’s minority leader to the next legislative date.
The Senate delayed and subsequent postponement could be connected to some changes being effected on the list.
