How To Toast Bread Without Toaster

Toasting bread without a toaster is as easy and simple as a toaster provided you know what is to be done.

Whether you choose to toast your bread on the stove-top, in the oven or in the microwave, you can still enjoy a crispy toast in no time.

Stove-top

For this you need a skillet or griddle and butter or oil. First, add butter or oil to the pan and heat the skillet over medium heat for approximately two minutes. Once the skillet is hot, place slices of bread on the pan and cook for a couple of minutes until each side is golden brown.

Microwave

This requires two pieces of equipment, a microwave-safe plate and butter or oil. Place slices of bread on the plate and spread butter or oil evenly across each slice, you can also add any desired spices. Turn the microwave on for 30 seconds, if you want it to be extra crispy, repeat for an additional 30 seconds until the desired crispness is achieved.

Oven

Toasting bread in an oven requires an oven-safe baking sheet or dish, either parchment paper or aluminum foil to line the tray, butter or oil and slices of bread. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius and place slices of bread on the lined tray.

Make sure to spread butter or oil on the bread before placing it in the oven. Depending on the size of your slices, it may take five to 10 minutes to achieve the desired crispness.
