Omah Lay’s “Boy Alone” Surpasses 1 billion Spotify Streams

Nigerian singer and songwriter Stanley Omah Didia professionally known as Omah Lay, has surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams across all platforms.

Omah Lay joins Nigerian artists; Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tems, CKay, and Rema to become the 9th Nigerian artist to heat 1 billion spotify streams across all platforms.

The feat follows the release of the deluxe version of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Boy Alone’ and the success of his single ‘Soso’.

Since his break through into the mainstream in 2020, Omah Lay has become one of the best Afrobeats artists, especially for his wonderful rendition of lines which he uses to share his life experiences.

The singer and songwriter has since become one most commercial artist. He has won a Headies (Next Rated) award in 2021 and 3 nominations. He has also been nominated 4 times for Afrima Awards and has won An Afro Digital Awards.

Omah Lay is indeed living up to and beyond the expectations of fans both in Nigeria and abroad.

He has had several collaborations with superstars like Adekunle Gold, Olamide, Wizkid, Ayra Starr and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.

He is also said to be featuring in the soundtrack for ‘Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse’ executive produced by Metro Booming.
