Nigeria classical singer and songwriter John Ighodaro, professionally known as Johnny Drille, paid a visit to the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, on November 6, 2023.
The singer hails the governor ‘s good work and commitment in the promotion of talent in the state. He said his call was important as the governor’s vision for Edo State was worth embracing and given kudos, considering the positive impacts in empowering youth and creating business opportunities for all in the sector.
Receiving the artiste and his crew at the Edo State government house, the governor appreciated the musician call in acknowledging the good work of the government of the state in respect to the promotion of talent, by extension the creative entertainment industry, and promised to do more for youth, promote talents in the state and the industry.
Drille who hails from Edo State, saw his visit as a home coming. The musician career came into the spotlight when he released a cover of “Awww” by Di’Ja.
Johnny Drille is currently signed to Mavin Records.
