In a bid to reduce road crashes and enhance road safety, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a new mobile app, “FRSC Rescue”. The app, unveiled at a ceremony in Abuja, allows users to quickly report road crashes and access emergency services.
FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, explained that the app is part of the corps’ efforts to leverage technology to improve road safety.
“FRSC Rescue” features include:
– Crash reporting: Users can report road crashes with ease, providing critical information for swift response.
– Emergency services: Access to emergency services like ambulance, fire service, and police.
– Road safety tips: Users can access safety tips and guidelines to promote safe driving habits.
– Real-time traffic updates: Users can get real-time traffic information to plan their journeys.
Biu emphasized that the app will enhance response times and reduce road crash fatalities.
The app is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
This innovative move by FRSC is expected to significantly contribute to reducing road crashes and promoting road safety in Nigeria.
