Troops of Operation Hadin Kai kill 26 Boko Haram terrorist in Borno State

Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) of the 25 Task Force Brigade has eliminated 23 Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) Jihadists operating in Damboa Local Council of Borno State.

Troops of the Task Force neutralized the Jihadists who attempted to ambushed a military outpost along Maiduguri-Damboa road on January 23, 2023.

The incidence was disclosed by a counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, who said that the Jihadists met their waterloo when they launched an ambush on a military outpost in Komala village, within Sambisa forest.

He said the Jihadist storm the military outpost in large numbers, ladened in a convoy of Hilux trucks, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) and motorcycles.

He said on sighting the terrorist advancing responded with heavy gunfire and killed about two dozen terrorists and fatally injured many. He added that the Air Task Force (ATF) provided air support which led to the total annihilation of the Jihadists.

“The terrorists that sustained gunshot wounds, also scampered and fled towards the thick forest of the local council,” he quipped.

According to him a gun truck, MRA, as well as three motorcycles were recovered from the Jihadists.

On January 13, 2023, around the in the Damboa-Azir axis, a handful of the Jihadists were also eliminated by troops of the Task Force, an MRAP was destroyed, he said.
