    The holiday is here and a lot of celebration is in the air. What is a celebration without eating the finest and most delicious meal?

    Christmas is a holiday that is celebrated towards the end of the year. But Christmas traditions do vary in each culture but nothing beats the fact that this celebration won’t be complete without a sumptuous array of holiday food shared with our loved ones over merry chatters and cheerful songs.

    It is one holiday where lots of food and drinks are shared and the merriment is unending. As it is celebrated among families and loved ones there are certain meals that must be included which are:

    Fried rice

    The most cooked and eaten meal during the holidays, Fried rice, is one meal packed with a lot of flavour and aroma that ones seen you cannot resist and as such it is one of the major food cooked during the holidays. It is mostly shared among families and friends

    Mozambique Peri Peri Grill Chicken

     This African dish found in Angola and Mozambique is one great meal that must not be off your holiday menu. This grilled chicken here puts you under a spell. It is best served with spicy coconut creamy sauce fortified with some olive oil and coconut milk.

    Jollof Rice

     Jollof rice is one of the most popular dish in Africa especially in West Africa.This meal have its different ways of preparation and will still come out looking and having a unique flavour that when eating you can tell it is THE DISH. It is one meal one must cook during the holidays as it will be expected in the food menu. It is easy, flavourful and a well fortified dish.

    Chicken stew

    As Africans meat is one of our most loved eaten food and chicken is not exempted. Chicken stew is one meal that must be well garnised , succulent and can even be a mouthful sometimes when taking it. This dish should not be found missing in your holiday food.

    Pounded yam and Egusi soup

    Mostly found in the western part of Nigeria and cooked almost round the country, Pounded yam and egusi soup, is a dish that go well together that when it is well prepared it makes you asking for more when you are done with your first plate. This dish is a traditional Yoruba meal which is mostly served during holidays and occasions.
