APC paid me to endorse Tinubu – Singer Portable

Fast rising Nigerian Street-pop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly referred to by his stage name, Portable, has come out to disclose that he was hired by the All Progressive Congress (APC) to endorse Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.

This revelation from Portable is coming amidst criticism of the artiste on social media after he declared his support for APC in the upcoming Osun State governorship election on his Instagram page.

In the video which he posted on Wednesday, he also pleaded Nigerians to vote for Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential elections.

Reacting to the persistent criticism of his actions by Netizens, Portable fired back stating that he was only doing the job assigned for him to by the APC.

The singer further stated in his video that he had once insulted Tinubu after he was paid to do so, but this time around his tune has changed because he was paid by the APC to Promote the Presidential candidate.

Portable who spoke in Yoruba said, “If they pay you money, you have to work. I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests. That was a long time ago. Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.

  • “If they pay you, do your job, no ripping. When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job. Now Tinubu is the next. They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC.”
