Chaos and pandemonium broke out at the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja, after the super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the world cup play off in Qatar, on Tuesday 29th March, 2022.
The angry fans who rushed into the stadium bowl, threw water bottles at the players before they were hauled out of the stadium.
Efforts by the security men to subside the angry fans from wrecking more havoc, proved abortive as the fans were seen destroying the newly renovated stadium facilities, even with the tear gas being thrown at them to evacuate the stadium.
Even though the match ended in a 1-1 score, Ghana got to qualify as a result of the away goal rule after the first leg at the kumasi stadium in Ghana ended goalless.
