Award-winning comedian, Ayo Makun alias AY has tendered an apology to singer,Adeleke Davido for making an insensitive joke about him
During a recent performance at a Warri concert, AY made David Adedeji popularly known as Davido the subject of his joke, as he commented on Davido’s multiple baby mamas.
He described the singer as having a small reproductive organ which he uses to father children with different women.
AY then went further to claim that he has a big reproductive organ but fathered only two children with considerable age gaps between their births. He expressed surprise at how Davido could have so many kids despite having a reproductive organ.
Davido’s fans criticized AY for making such jokes about Davido and his family with many Netizen said it wasnt even funny at all.
AY realised that the joke hit differently from what he expected and publicly apologised to Davido via his Instagram page on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
AY noted how Davido had all right to be angry with him, and apologized.
“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of the US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.
Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido”.
