A lot of people run away from cooking fried rice with the excuse that it is a very tactful recipe. I will take you through the procedures to prepare your fried rice with ease.
You are free to increase the ingredient to your desired quantity.
Ingredients
4 Cups of parboiled refrigerated rice
Carrots (chopped)
Green beans(chopped)
Onion
Pepper (fresh or dried)
1/4 Cup of frozen green peas
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 Clove garlic, minced (Optional)
3 Sizeable eggs
Soy sauce (according to desired taste)
2 teaspoons sesame oil (optional)
Nicely sliced cabbage (optional)
Procedures
Step 1
Fried rice is best when the parboiled rice is refrigerated. That notwithstanding, here is how you parboil your rice;
- Pour (4cups) water in a pot and add your (3cups) white rice and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and allow to bubble until rice is tender and water has been absorbed.
- Remove from the heat, wash and allow to cool down to room temperature.
- Put the parboiled rice into a plastic rubber with cover and refrigerate while you prepare your vegetables.
Step 1
Now when all is set for the step two;
- Make sure all your ingredients are in order.
- Place your chopped carrots in a small saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a low boil and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Add your peas and stir and filter the water immediately.
- Place a wok over high heat. Pour in vegetable oil, then stir in carrots, peas, and garlic; cook for about 30 seconds. Add eggs; stir quickly to scramble eggs with vegetables.
- Add pepper and stir in cooked rice. Add soy sauce and toss rice to coat. Dribble with sesame oil and toss again. Add your sliced cabbage, stir and serve.
