Edwin Clark endorses Peter Obi, says his presidency will unit Nigeria

Must Read

South-South leader, Chief Edwin Clark, on Tuesday, January 03, 2022, has said a Peter Obi Presidency will unit Nigeria.

Clark, a former Commissioner for Information, has also endorsed Peter Obi, who is the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, in the forthcoming poll.

Clark, made his position known to the press in his house at Asokoro, Abuja.

He said the South-East should be allowed to produce the next President of Nigeria and that the zone has qualified, educated and experienced people to lead the country, and that Peter Obi’s led presidency will unit Nigeria.

Clark’s endorsement is coming barely 2 days after Obasanjo had endorsed the Labour party presidential candidate in his new year message to Nigerians, which he stated that Peter Obi is a better presidential material than People’s Democratic Party and All Progressive Congress candidates, respectively.

Obasanjo’s new years message didn’t go down well with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign office, the PDP secretariat, as well as Asiwaju Bola Tinubu presidential campaign office, the APC secretariat and the Presidency. The Presidency responded to Obasanjo’s criticism of Buhari government as that of a man who was desperately in search of political relevance.

The Edwin Clark’s endorsement of Peter Obi has added to the Labour Party presidential flag bearer another huge support.

Clark was a member of an advisory committee to the military governor of the Mid-Western Region province, David Ejoor and was appointed Federal Commissioner of Information in 1975. Clark was an unofficial advisor to President Goodluck Jonathan
