Governor Fubara and Wike sheathe swords, commissioners to be reinstate, court cases withdrawn

Governor of River State, FSiminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Chief Nyesom Wike have agreed to settle their difference, and return to status quo.

In a new twist to the Rivers State political crisis, a document signed by the waring factions, indicated agreement reach between the camp of the godfather and his godson was sighted by TVAFRINET.

The settlement of the feud was reached by the duo in a meeting was held at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, with  President Bola Tinubu, brokered by critical stakeholders in the state, led by Peter Odili.

The resolution from the meeting, signed by both camps on Monday night, it was reached that all matters instituted in the courts by the governor and his team in respect of the political crisis be withdrawn immediately.

It was also reached that all impeachment proceedings initiated against the governor by 27 state House of Assembly members be dropped.

“The leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly as led by the Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule shall be recognised alongside the 27 members who resigned from the PDP.

“The remunerations and benefits of all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and their staff must be reinstated immediately and the Governor of Rivers State shall henceforth not interfere with the full funding of the Rivers State House of Assembly,” according to the resolution
