Nollywood actress Hajia Meenah ‘Mercy Adeoti‘ and her husband Kazim Adeoti traveled to Saudi Arabis to participate in the annual Islamic pilgrimage, hajj.
The couple are expected to visit all the holy sites and perform the hajj rituals, while visiting the Holly Mosques in Mecca and Medina and other cities.
This years hajj performance happens to be her first as the couple are both currently in the holly land.
Aigbe converted to Islam in 2022, following her marriage to Adeoti. The couple’s decision to perform the hajj together imarks a turning point in their marriage as such would go a long way in consolidating their union.
The hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and it is obligatory for all Muslims who are able to make the journey. The pilgrimage is a time for Muslims to come together to worship Allah and to reflect on their faith.
The couple have shared photos and videos of their hajj trip on social media, and it is currently generating admiration and positive comments from their fans and well-wishers.
In one of the photos, Aigbe is seen wearing a traditional white hajj garment. She is smiling and looking up at the sky. In the caption, she wrote, “Hajia Minnah with the ‘h’”
Adeoti has also shared photos of his hajj journey. In one of the photos, he is seen standing in front of the Kaaba, the holiest site in Islam. In the caption, he wrote, “May the Almighty hear our pleas and pardon us of our sins by his mercy”
