JAMB increases registration fees, announces dates for 2024 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has adjusted the registration fees for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), introducing a slight increase for both candidates opting for and skipping the mock exam.

Under the new fee structure, candidates who want to seat for the mock exam will now be required to pay ₦7,700, while those not interested in taking the mock will pay ₦6,200. This increment is as against the previous fees of ₦6,700 with the mock and ₦5,700 without mock.

The revision in fees comes ahead of the unveiling of detailed registration information, scheduled for release on or before January 15, 2024, according to official statement from JAMB.

In an announcement, JAMB disclosed that the registration portal for Direct Entry (DE) applicants is set to open from February 28, 2024, to March 28, 2024. This avenue caters to graduates of advanced diploma programs or equivalent qualifications, offering them an opportunity to seek direct admission into tertiary institutions without undergoing the UTME process.

In addition, the board is in the process of generating profile codes for registration. Guidelines for obtaining these codes will be disclo January 15th registration launch date.

JAMB stated the importance of it aspirants to equip themselves with verified information about announcements and guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful registration process for the 2024 UTME exams.
