Kendrick Lamar is set to make history as the first artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show solo for the second time. He previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside other artists. The upcoming performance, scheduled for February 9, 2025, will be a solo act, making Lamar the first artist to achieve this feat twice. The show will be held at the Superdome in New Orleans, and Lamar’s company, pgLang, will handle the creative direction. This performance is highly anticipated, given Lamar’s successful Big Steppers Tour from 2022 to 2024.

Lamar will be the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show after The Black Eyed Peas did it as a group at Super Bowl XLV in 2011. He has previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent. The 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show will air live on Fox on Feb. 9, 2025.
