Kuje jailbreak: Wanted terrorist in possession of hard drugs arrested by NDLEA officials in Abuja

A terror suspect who escaped from the Kuje prison during the recent jail break has been arrested by the officials of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The agencies spokesman, Femi Babafemi disclosed in a statement that the fleeing terrorist, Suleiman Sidi was apprehended in the early hours of Monday in Abuja.

Suleiman Sidi was apprehended at the Area 1 motor park while attempting to board a commercial vehicle bound for Maiduguri, Borno State.

Sidi who was quickly searched happened to be in possession of wraps of Cannabis Sativa also known as Indian Hemp.

The suspect had quickly admitted to having been remanded at the Kuje prison during a preliminary interview by the officials of the agency.

Sidi is facing charges related to robbery and terrorism.

NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (Retd) has directed his transfer to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

The Kuje jail break left scores of inmates loose to the the immediate environment.
