    It is mostly prepared from unripe green bananas with some vegetables of your choice. These East African highlands green bananas are typically mashed, pounded, or boiled. They are usually eaten with meats, fish, peanut sauce, and vegetables. Matoke can be made in different ways and according to different recipes, but the process is always the same. It tastes a bit sour and is normally eaten during lunch because of its ability to keep you really satisfied.
