It is made from raw ingredients such as  fresh tomatoes , onion , a hint of vegetable oil, salt and a good amount of chilli. Monyo is consumed more in the south of the country and it is essential to prepare it the traditional way. It is traditionally prepared cold, without heat, or lightly and very quickly put on low heat. it doesn’t take too long to cook and is often accompanied by Akassa or Piron (eba). A few pieces of fish and chicken can be added to the meal.
