Super model Naomi Campbell announced the birth of her second child, a boy, nearly two years after welcoming her daughter.
The 53-year-old took to Instagram to share the news, accompanied by a heartfelt message and a touching image of her and her daughter’s hands holding the newborn’s.
In her post, Campbell expressed immense love for her little one, referring to the baby as a true gift from God and assuring them of being cherished beyond measure. She warmly welcomed her “Babyboy” into the world.
Since her daughter’s birth in May 2021, Campbell has maintained a level of privacy regarding her child’s life, including keeping her name undisclosed. Public glimpses of her daughter have been few and far between.
However, last year, Campbell and her daughter graced the cover of British Vogue in March 2022. The cover photo, captured by Steven Meisel, featured Campbell protectively holding her child against her chest, dressed in an elegant black ensemble set against a neutral backdrop.
During the accompanying interview, Campbell revealed that she had shared her decision to become a mother with only a select few people, a choice she seems to have made once again with her second child. She described her daughter as a tremendous blessing and the best thing she has ever done. When asked if she would consider expanding her family further, Campbell responded with an open-minded “Why not?”
Recently, Campbell has made noteworthy appearances at prestigious events such as the Met Gala and Cannes Film Festival in May. She also attended Pharrell Williams’ inaugural menswear collection for Louis Vuitton, sitting in the front row.
In her past interview with British Vogue, Campbell expressed her belief that she would one day become a mother. Her Instagram post on Thursday echoed similar sentiments, stating that it’s never too late to embrace motherhood.
