Ademola Olusegun Popoola, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly has been reported dead.
Popoola, who died at the early hours of Wednesday was aged 46.
The lawmaker was representing Ibadan South-East constituency II in the State Assembly.
It was gathered that the lawmaker passed on at the University Teaching Hospital (UCH) Ibadan.
According to medical reports, Popoola lost his life through a kidney-related disease.
The lawmaker who was elected in 2019 under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to represent his constituency was the chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
Since his death, several condolence messages has been directed to his family by colleagues, friends and well wishers.
