Gov. Nyesom Wike on wednesday received the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi at his residence in Port Harcourt.
According to the report by Channels TV, Peter Obi upon arrival was taken inside where he met with the Governor behind closed doors.
It will be recalled that it was barely four days since the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi paid Wike a visit.
Although Wike has been regarded as a perfect candidate to serve as running mate to Atiku Abubakar under the PDP, but the choice of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State came as a major surprise to many even as Wike has not commented on that announcement.
The rumour making rounds on the political scene suggests that perhaps Gov. Wike might dump the PDP as the elections draw near.
However the purpose of the meeting still remains shrouded in mystery as newsmen were denied access.
