Nigerian Hip Hop maestro Remilekun Khalid Safaru popularly known as Reminisce has finally released his highly anticipated album ‘Alaye Tok Se Gogo’.
‘Alaye Toh Se Gogo’ marks his return after three years. The unique fusion of rap and pop melodies makes the track one of it kind. Collaborations with emerging and established artists highlight his adaptability while retaining his unique identity.
The album bridges generations ranging from Olamide to OdumoduBlvck, Bnxn, and more, with a blend of traditional rap with contemporary beats. It caters to a wide audience, with tracks like ‘Rotate’ for street enthusiasts and ‘Mora’ for a softer, melodic side.
Reminisce, a driving force in the fusion of hip-hop and Afropop, has transformed from an underground pioneer to a cultural icon.
He recorded his first song in a studio in 2006 and in 2008, Reminisce returned to the music scene, performing a rap verse on a track titled “Bachelor’s Life” off 9ice’s sophomore album titled “Gongo Aso”.
His first single, “Ever Since”, featured 9ice, and was a story about his life till that moment. His second, “If Only”, was a love song produced by Dtunez and yhe likes of like ‘Kako Bi Chicken’ in 2011, which gainedmomentum pioneering street hop.

Remilekun Khalid Safaru known by his stage names Reminisce and Alaga Ibile, was born January 26, 1981. He is a Nigerian singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor, nay Ogun State. He performs in English and in his native language, Yoruba.
