Sobia is a traditional Egyptian drink which is also famous in Saudi Arabia

Sobia history can be traced back to Sobia ElRahmany, a veritable landmark in Al Sayeda Zeinab that has been serving their secret Sobia recipe to the masses since 1920. Preparation of traditional sobia requires human involvement in adding, mixing and filtering the compositions which normally occurs manually with no contamination risk.

It is a milk filled and starchy drink that is widely consumed during the month of Ramadan. This drink which is rich in healthy nourishing milk is made from the ingredients of barley, dry bread, oats or raisins, after which filtering are added amounts of sugar, cardamom and cinnamon mixed in proportional amounts, then ice is added to it for cooling. Flavouring like vanilla, strawberry and the likes can be added to further enjoy this milky drink.
