Obiozor has been very critical of gunmen activities in eastern Nigeria.
Gunmen have bomb the country home of the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor.
Obiozor house located at Awo-Omanma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State was razed to the ground on Saturday morning, March 19, 2022.
It was reported by eye witness that the attackers stormed the Igbo leader’s home in vehicles, and pelted his compound with improvised explosive devices.
The incident occurred when the Ohanaeze Ndigbo leader was away.
According to a source, “The country home of Prof George Obiozor was burnt. The CCTV cameras captured the attack. Thank God Prof was not at home when they came.”
As of the time of filing this report, the Igbo leader hasn’t made any statement regarding the attack, but a leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who chose to be anonymous said he had got in touch with Obiozor to commiserate with him on the developments and tasked the police to fish out and punish the terrorist responsible for the act.
