The buddy cop comedy effect – 21 Jump Street

Buddy cop comedy effect may have caused Kanye West’s 180 U-turn against the Jewish people- after years of hard stand against them, which could possibly be as a result of three reasons: decline in wealth , strategy to bounce back or true repentance.

What it is, his perception didn’t change over night though but was influenced by 21 Jump Street – a 2012 buddy cop action comedy, according to him.

The satirical content film brought to bare the changes in time in different phases in life as two cops tasked with the responsibility to bring down a drug lord faces other challenges they never imagined.

The leading role was played by Jewish-American comedian Jonah Hill, who successfully delivered the character of Morton Schmidt, supported by Channing Tatum (Jenko)

Unknown to Schmidt and Jenko, the level and standard which they delivered their roles and the depth of the storyline, would have strong effect on West’s perception of Jews.

His anti-Semitic vituperation had cost him severely – pushing him down the rung of world’s billionaire club as big brands cancelled partnership contracts and others avoided him.

Only Adidas tried to accommodate West’s excesses, now the brand is pushing ahead for a review of the contract with him while brands like Gap,Vogue and Balenciaga have demonstrated unequivocally they don’t have patience for such unruly behavior. The brands cancelled the partnership contract with Ye (as West is now fondly called) – way before the matter settled down, demonstrating lack of tolerance for his uncouth character.

His love for Hitler was an expensive remark, not so much as bad as threatening to go ‘Death con 3’ on a people that had suffered over 15 million deaths in the hands of the same maniac he professes love for – brandishing Swastika flag shamelessly.

With 21 Jump Street, Ye is now loving the Jewish people because of the lead-actor. He said the film had a profound effect in how he now sees them.

Regardless of how he feels now , his anti-Semitic slurs won’t go away just like that. The ground Ye is standing on is very fragile.
