Unknown gunmen attacked passengers who were enroute Kaduna from Abuja on the 28th of March,2022.
The train which was said to have left Abuja by 6:00pm on that day, was attacked by Unknown gunmen along Katari and Rijana communities.
It was reported that a total of 970 person boarded the train enroute Kaduna and about 8 lives were lost as well as 25 persons reportedly injured.
The bandits planted explosives at the rail tracks and after its explosion, which brought the train to a halt, they opened up gunshots on the passengers of the train critically leaving so many injured and killed.
The gunmen also took some of the passengers with them into the bush and up till the time of this report, nothing has been heard about them.
It’s been a painful experience for Nigerian citizens as they almost constantly live in fear due to the appalling security challenge in the Nation.
