Tinubu says debate and townhall meetings are irrelevant compare to his political credentials

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come out to clear the negative doubt and suspicion surrounding his academic certificate and date of birth.

Tinubu, who is the the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been mired in many controversies regarding his family background, health and academic qualification.

The issues have been on the political front burner as the 2023 presidential election draws nearer, without the actual truth about his person insight,

The allegations of discrepancies about his parental background, place of birth, date of birth and the authenticity of his certificate from the Chicago State University, may have necessitate the need to clear the air and put the matter to rest , ones and for all.

Speaking at Chatham House on Monday, December 5, 2022, in the United Kingdom, Tinubu responded to a question on the matter, claiming his records are consistent and intact.

In response to the question asked him regarding the controversies hovering his profile, Tinubu played down the question, saying the private companies he worked for and the university he attended all have his data.

The presidential candidate also asked his critics to request a DNA test to confirm the veracity of his paternal origin.

“My record is consistent and it’s true, and the university they questioned, they now confessed that they wasted their money and their time. The record is there, the transcript is there showing March, 1952. I am not claiming another father, I am Tinubu and Tinubu proper. If they want a DNA, they could as well request for one. One of them as even accused me of not being a Nigerian citizen, I didn’t touch that area.

“Equally, it remains the same. Chicago State University where I graduated has attested to that, now I can announce that I have received my original degree certificate from them. Deloitte trained me as an accounting firm, Mobil Oil has attested to my records. I got to the pinnacle of my career in the private sector. Who among them can brag about that?” he asked.

At Chatham House, while addressing Nigerians, Tinubu said the reason for not honouring invitations to participate in townhall meetings and debates ahead of the 2023 general election are simply irrelevant because his credentials speaks for him , and that organisers of such event want to use it to make money off him.

The APC presidential candidate is seen by a few Nigerian as the most popular and preferred candidate but however has the financial muscle to unsettle other competitors.
