The family of the late popular Gospel musician, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has debunked the supposed cause of her death which made the rounds in the late hours of Friday.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mrs Favour Made, the elder sister of the deceased debunked the rumour that her sister died of throat cancer.

Confirming the reports which made the rounds from credible sources, the deceased Sister stated that her sister died from domestic violence meted on her by her husband.

She revealed that the Late Osinachi suffered from a blood clot in the chest region, as a result of the kick the husband meted on her, which put her in coma for 5 days before she gave up the ghost.

In her words, she said “We heard it was cancer that killed Osinachi. She did not die of cancer. The husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu hit her with his leg on the chest. All this while, he has been beating her but my sister hides all that she was passing through from us,” she said

She further stated that efforts and plea by the family to the deceased to leave the marriage at least for a while, fell on deaf ears as their sister always believed that the husband would eventually change.

“We told her that they are not divorcing and that it’s just a separation. But she felt that God is against divorce. We told her that separation is not a sin but just for her to stay alive and take care of her children. She will always tell us to relax and that the man will change.

Report by the sister further stated that even when she was hospitalized, the family were kept out of it and had no idea of what had happened, until a friend of theirs contacted the sister to let her know the state the now deceased was in.

It was alledged that the Late Osinachi, prior to her death had on several occasions been physically and emotionally abused by her Husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu.

Reports as gathered by TVAFRINET reveals that Mr Peter is currently undergoing investigations, as various bodies have sworn to get Justice for the Late Osinachi.

Late Osinachi was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre. She was featured in several popular gospel songs like “Nara Ekele” by Pastor Paul Enenche (Dunamis, Abuja) and “You no dey use me play” by Emma. She is survived by four children and her family.
