Zambia’s economy experienced a remarkable growth of 3.1% in 2022 says the country’s Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane, on Friday.
He said government aim and expectations is to see a higher growth before the end of the year in the Southern African country.
Zambia was a able to contained annual inflation to single digits at 9.9% in December from 16.4% in December 2021.
Musokotwane said the focus and target of the government is to see inflation reduced to 6%-8% in the medium term.
According to him, central government external debt rose to $13.36 billion at end-September 2022 from $13.04 billion at end-December 2021.
